AN ORIGINAL MIRO ..............

If you are looking for creature comforts - this is the only five star boutique hotel in the gothic quarter of Palma. Built in 1571 this palace was restored in 1993. It is an art lovers paradise, with the rare chance to see an original Miro (3 in fact!) hanging on the wall and pieces of sculpture in every corner. Expect every luxury - I really appreciated the finest afternoon teas available on a complimentary basis in the strikingly restored kitchen. Service is paramount and really helpful staff will attend to your every whim.

A traditional gated flower filled patio courtyard leads you into the palace where a plethera of grand rooms await. Another patio with its gently rippling fountain is the ideal place to relax with a drink from the fully stocked honesty bar. For wonderful views of the magnificent cathedral and sea you only have to take the lift up to the roof terrace which is remarkably peaceful for a vibrant city location.

An inviting jet pool and sauna can be found under the arches in the basement and an extensive menu of massages and treatments are available in your room.

The 12 bedrooms, whilst not the largest (obviously confined by the size of the original palace) are beautifully restored and have all the luxuries you would expect of this category of hotel. The suites are ideally suited for honeymooners.

Breakfasts are served at your leisure in the main dining room and although the Hotel does not serve lunch or dinner there is an extensive room service menu. That said, you do not have to walk far to experience some of Palma's finest restaurants.


An ideal Hotel for those who want a grand historical building but on an intimate scale. Its location in the old part of the city is ideal for discovering the best that Palma has to offer and believe me, it offers a lot! A shoppers paradise - your credit card will take a bashing.
