CHOPIN LOVED IT TOO ..............

A jewel in the crown of Mallorca is the enchanting and highly photographed village of Valldemossa with its picturesque stone houses nestling on a hillside. Frederic Chopin and his girlfriend, Georges Sands spent a winter here giving rise to his “raindrop” prelude and her book “A Winter in Mallorca”. They however, spent their time in a rather simple and windy monastery. You can do better. By choosing this Hotel you will find yourself in pure unadulterated luxury. Famed for its extremely high level of service (when I was there a little girl asked at reception for some paper to do some drawing and they produced a paint book and a set of paints – now that is service!) this twelve room gem ticks all our boxes. A stunningly reformed old mansion set in beautifully well-tended gardens. What makes it very special is the views (especially from the Hotel dining room) of the village and its monastery (The Cartuja).

Five star facilities abound (although curiously enough it officially only has four – the Spanish star system sometimes defeats me!) and the 12 bedrooms want for nothing; minibar; safe; satellite TV; DVD with DVD library; pillow menu; Wi-Fi; loads of fluffy towels; bathrobes and slippers. Some of the rooms have Jacuzzis.

Both indoor and outdoor pools, extensive terraces (enjoy those views from your sun-lounger), a sauna and jacuzzi, plus a massage menu make it an ideal all year round pampering Hotel. An excellent honeymoon destination.

The restaurant (which is open to the public) serves breakfast, lunch and dinners concentrating on local cuisine with an International influence. The ambiance is wonderful.


An ideal Hotel for those who want luxury in a stunning setting. Ideal for exploring the cliffs and coves of the dramatic North coast of the island. Both Deia and Soller are nearby. Paradise for both walkers and artists alike.
